Lets start with THE GREEN BAG, if many of you realise there are many people carrying the green bag, not saying the bag is green, but the eco friendly bag. It comes in many sizes, and colours like the rainbow. The also come in different logos as many companies have been into it too, ranging from sony gallery, royal umbrella, fujitsu, NEA of course etc...it used to be classify as the auntie bag, but right now there are nore and more people carrying it due to the great influencing help from the various supermarkets. =) walk around the area in clementi, you can see people carrying it, be it old folks, aunties, uncles now youths are also carrying it too. There is nothing really much to be ashamed of to carry this bag. Hmmm...maybe a bit, as there is not much youthful design on it.
Looks like we should organise a campaign or competition "design your own bag" Agreeable? =D
Oh ya, someone in straits time forum have critise the 2 other article written by George Jacobs and the other person on going vegetarian is going green, and will feed the people starving. She argued on her stand quite well i should say. Do catch it. Er, if you donthave the paper, do catch it in the club house!

Next issue i am addressing to is the MCF, motor claim framework. Er..dont be too surprise that i am into motor vehicles, and even motor claims. I have reasons behind it though. If any of you have observe there has been arrows shooting here and there through the newspaper forum. =) I have to say the current framework is quite a hassle for many drivers including motor workshops. Having to study the reasons behind this implements I feel that their reasons behind it are reasonable. Having to implement this within 24hours (excluding sunday) reporting is quite a chore for alot of people who are working and are unable to make the report on time, as many actually dragged for a few days before making a report. The reasons behind the 24hours is due to the fact that many drivers actually forget the details of the accident after a few days, thus within 24hours the details of the accident will still be there in the memory stick of the brain. This is also got to do witht he fact that many workshops create a false "accident" on these accident-ed cars, so as to claim more money from the insurance especially in third party claiming. At the same time, having a surveyor in to survey the car will take quite a number of days thus within these few days there are a lot of things that can happen.
ARC (authorise reporting centre) now everything is going via insurance, the reporting centres would be of those that are authorise by the insurance company which can be seen in the
GIA website one main reason is these insurance has been paying millions of dollars to workshops working on these accident cars, and many had over quoted the prices. Thus, these insurance want to play safe and would only allow those that they authorised to do the reporting also known as e- filing with the necessary username and password. With these authorise workshop the trust from the insurance to the workshop is there thus in hope that over quoting wont take place. With this condition, it will leave alot of un-authorise workshop out of business, which honestly speaking I feel accident claiming is a very good business prospect as we hear on news that traffic jams cause by accidents. So accidents happen everyday. (touch wood) =X
Usually drivers will go back to where they bought the car, like mercedes will go back to cycle and carriage, ford, peugot will go to regent motors, etc (mostly located at alexandra road) as many would want them to do the repairs for the genuine parts and service quality. For this new rule, they can't they would have to seek their insurance company who will advise them on the ARCs available. Thus, many drivers would have to get used to this new custome. Or in another case, where some drivers would like private workshops to do it, this will have to be based on each insurance company policy on whether would they allow or not. Haiz, that is why alot of un-authorise workshop will be highly out of business.
Ever question what will happen if you don't make a report within 24 hours? You would be affecting your NO Claim discount upon renewal of your insurance policy. Which will create a big problem, from the rule as long as one don't make a report the other party wont be able to make a 3rd party claim again you. This will give big headaches to authorise workshops as they might have to swollow it as bad debts if repairs have been done as the chances of the owner paying it is very low. Another big headache for workshops.
*shall end here, for more informations, please go to the
GIA website hmmmm...any readers who is a driver? And owns a car? Who is under TENET insurance? wahaha...(better be a hybrid car..jkjk)
Thats all for today!
