Chinese New Year Is different this year...Chinese new year will never be the same again. Without ah gong, it will never be the same. 2day is chinese new yeat eve, suppose to have renunion dinner, but no ah gong around is not call renunion.
I remember last year, have to cook for him specially, cos and he joined us for the steamboat, that wrinkled smile on his face looks so different. And because he was senile, we kept asking "who am i" he will always remember me and my mum. He will give the kid like giggle and say our name.
But this year, my house is not decorated, just plain as it can be. I no longer feel the festive mood coming up. As i am getting use to the days without him. It really feels empty without him around. Those meomories keep flashing, making me long for his presence.
The girl:
still cries upon thinking of her grandfather. Stills misses him. Still wants him to be by her side. Still remember the silly smile on his face, and the cold look when he was in the coffin. She still remember the scene of the burial. She still cannot the accept the fact of her ah gong now lies in the cold soft soil in the cematary.
Ah gong, how are you now? Your grand-daughter misses you.
